Its not every day your own Club DC is up the Equestrian Australia 2018 EA LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD!!
Our Club DC (since 1994!!!) is the long standing backbone of the Werribee Pony Club Annual Horse Trials, and also a very active member of the Friends Of Werribee Park Horse Trials Inc committee. These 2 events provide an amazing opportunity for both PC & EA riders to compete Horse Trials at the beautiful Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre. Thanks to Wayne for all your hard work, and best of luck with the award!
GAMES STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017!
Its been a while since our last update ` and what a way to end of 2017!! We sent 2 teams to the Central Zone Games day ~ and are so excited that Andrews Team finished in 2nd place, with Taneisha's team coming in =6th!! All the hard work leading into the event paid off!! Andrews team then went onto the State Games day ~ where they finished off with an amazing 6th place!!! Our first Games State Team placing since 1992! An amazing effort from all team members and we are looking forward to 2018!!
What a great weekend we had at Camp!! Thankyou to everyone that attended ~ we all had a great time!! Saturdays "DO IT FOR DOLLY" Navigation ride everyone looked fabolous in their blue clothing! And we raised $53 towards the #DOLLYSDREAM foundation! There were some great prizes Sunday was the "#flyhibillie" pub ride, where all the riders wore there WPC shirts & FlyHiBillie saddle blankets . Thanks to everyone that nominated for the 2018/2019 Executive roles. There have been a few changes in the Club, so below is the updated list. The contact details will be changed on the club website over the next week.
Huge thank you to some of our outgoing Executive committee members, especially Janet and Karen who have been on the executive panel for a number of years. They will all still at the Club and on the general committee! But is also great to see some new faces as well! The AGM minutes will be out later this week.
PRESIDENT: DANIELLE VELISHA
The President is responsible for chairing the club meetings and generally promoting the aims and objectives of the Pony Club movement.
VICE-PRESIDENT: LIANE SHANNON
The Vice President will assist the President wherever possible and act as Deputy to the President in their absence. The Vice president will also organize the Rally Roster for parents to help set up/pack up at rallies, and the canteen.
SECRETARY: AIMEE CUTHBERT
The Secretary is responsible for all the administrative duties of the club, such as registration of members and correspondence. Need to record and keep accurate minutes at club meetings and should be responsible for carrying out decisions at meetings. The Secretary will also organize the new member’s detail on the PCV database, member cards and information packs.
TREASURER: TRACEY WINSLETT
The Treasurer is responsible for handling the financial matters passing through the club. They need to receive all monies, banking, pay all approved accounts, record all financial transactions and report financial affairs..
DISTRICT COMMISIONER: WAYNE CUTHBERT
The District Commissioner is responsible to the club, Zone and PCAV council for the running of rallies and activities. They must have a clear understanding of the Club and PCAV movement’s aims and objectives. The DC sets a standard of general behavior for members and acts as a role model, and to also officially Grade members. The DC will also assist the Rally Coordinator in the rally groups and rally timetable.
Club Rider Uniform coordinator: CORALIE Firth Zsembery
Rider uniforms can be purchased during rally day lunch breaks. Second hand uniforms are also available. Please refer to the new members pack for item description and prices.
Club Canteen: CHRISTINE MAZARIS, BIANCA JONES & ASSISTANT MATTHEW JACKSON
Purchased and organizes lunch for Club instructors and members at rallies. Parents are then rostered to help with lunch at rallies.

First Aid officer’s~ TANEISHA CUTHBERT, BREE MAZARIS, BIANCA JONES
Ensures the grounds and equipment used is safe, arranges repairs as necessary. Maintains first aid equipment for both riders and horses, completes accident reports.
Club Rider Certificate coordinator : AMY LYNCH
Organizes riders with timelines of when riders need to complete PCV certificates, and which certificates the riders need to complete. Please refer to “PCV Rider Certificate” tab for more certificate information.
Rally Co-Ordinator: AMY LYNCH & TARA LAWREY
Organize the Sunday rallies, book and liaise with the Instructors. Collect rally attendance and prepare rally timetables and groups. Check the WPNEC calendar for availability of venue. Prepare Instructors bags.
Zone Delegates: Wayne Cuthbert, Aimee Cuthbert, Bree Mazaris
Attend CZ meetings and report back to the Club / items to Zone meeting.
General Committee: KAREN BROOKS, MARK JACKSON, BREE MAZARIS, EMMA BROOKS, SAM BROOKS. TANIESHA CUTHBERT, CORALIE FIRTH ZSEMBERY. BIANCA JONES
To help be a part of the Club Committee, input ideas, and have the ability vote at meetings.
* There are still general committee places available, and all meetings are also open to Club coaches, parents and associate riders *
Rallies for the year are on the Club FB page, so make sure to click either INTERESTED or GOING. This is so you can be notified when there is an update posted in the rally. Details you can find in their will include which instructors are un~available to coach that day, and which ones will be there. Any Executuve committee members that are not going to be there. What areas of the venue we are unable to access that day. Thanks to our awesome coaches, Amy Lynch & Tara Lawrey will be taking this over this year, so please ensure that you make sure to post in each rally if you are attending, and if you are not riding your regular horse. Don't forget also when you get to the rally day, to make sure you sign in, and pop in your lunch order before you jump on for gear check. At the end of the day, please also remove any manure or hay from the yards. Our JUNE rally will also be off site, due to no access of the clubrooms ~ as Melbourne 3 Day Event is the following weekend. Details to follow. The October rally will also NOT be on the 7th, the new date is still TBC. And the November rally is the 2nd weekend, 11th, due to Melbourne Cup weekend.
Renewals for 2018/2019
Renewals for the 2018/2019 are due soon. This year, the Club will be trying to set it all up online, so riders can update and complete payment on the PCV MyPonyClub System. Once the fees have been set for the year, all members will be notified.
