    Rally Timetable

So the groups can be organised before the rally - riders (or parents) need to CLICK HERE TO EMAILif you are coming to a rally:

     Mounted for the full day

Mounted for half a day (refer PCAV bylaws on rally attendance)

    Unmounted

    Bringing a new horse

This is so the DC/Rally Co-ordinator can work on having a manageable number of riders that attend the rallies in the ridden groups.

If you have not emailed your attendance by the Wednesday before the rally, you may not be placed into a group!

If you are not mounted in time for the first class, please be aware that you will have to sit that class out and be ready for the next session.

Have you also checked your Theory group and the parents roster before the rally?

    RALLY REMINDERS

    * CARS ON THE CROSS COUNTRY COURSE ~ NO cars are to follow riders onto the CC course at rallies. Cars can be parked at the dam near the dressage arenas & left there until the end of the CC class.

    * Riders are placed in groups by their PCAV GRADES (Horse Trials/Showjumping/Dressage). When Jumping ~ riders are ONLY to jump 1 level higher than their graded level, as per the riders PCAV card that is graded by the Club DC.

    * Whilst a group in under the direction of an instructor during class time, parents are requested NOT to coach riders from the sidelines of the group.

A 30 minute Horsemastership class is implemented at the start of most rallies, so riders can gain knowledge in caring for their horses / ponies, working towards PCAV certificates & gaining different types of equine theory. This time also allows the Executive committee to work on groups for riders that have signed in for that rally.

We then try to implement Flat / Dressage / Cross Country / Showjumping & Games classes into rallies. We must then base the timetable around what area we have access to on rally days, which instructors are available to teach & what disciplines they are most skilled with.

The Executive Committee do our best to cater for all riders needs at rallies, & alot of time goes into the timetable. This is not an easy task, as we have riders with varying ages, experience, competing at various disciplines, and non-competing riders who are out just to enjoy riding their horses. We also face challenges with ground usage, other events at the grounds, instructors being unable to attend at the last minute, and riders not advising if they will or will not be attending a rally, resulting in too many or not enough instructors organised for the day.

We encourage feedback from parents. If you have concerns regarding the timetable prior to the upcoming rally, & if you have any ideas on how we can improve the timetable to ensure your child receives the most from every Werribee Pony Club rally, please directly contact a member of the executive committee.
